! Dear Future self !

Gri11 2.0 has been the best year I have ever had! We learn on computers all the time. Which is a good thing and a bad thing because I love learning in books but we never do but i also love learning on computers because Its faster but not so easy for the teachers to mark if we don’t put our links into fastrack.

A very memorable moment that I have In Gri11 2.0 is saying to Liam “I’m more of a man than you’ll ever be!” from then on my name was Nathaniel and Liam’s was Lisa. I am proud of lots of things some of them are sports, kids 4 kids, athletics and the digi awards.

I have been involved in quite a lot of things like tennis, netball, touch rugby, girls cricket, Rippa rugby, kids 4 kids, Richoh and lucky last the digi awards. I love to take some responsible risks and I like to think i’m a happy and healthy college street kid but next year i want exactly be a college street kid anymore.

Athletics Day !!!

Finally the day of sports and not learning ATHLETICS DAY!!! I was in the Takahe house their are three others their Weka, Kea and Tui they all have their own colours Takahe is blue, Weka is red, Kea is green and Tui is yellow.

My favourite athletic sport is the relays, even though we didn't win but we came second which is better than nothing. I also love high jump and thankfully I got a high score of 4 points! I love being in the Takahe house because my favourite colour is blue and its sad that I have to leave it next year because I'm a year six at my school.


I'm glad my mum came because it was my last athletics day at College Street, next year I'll be at PNINS and their long distant track is really long. There was shot put, long distance,  high jump, long jump, hurdles, sprints and the lucky last relays!


Well thats all I have to say about Athletics, and its THE BEST !!!

Cultrual Junior Jammers !

We have been learning about cultural diversity this term and today our group decided to take some action!!! We invited the junior syndicate to do some cultural jump jam with us to show them that even though we are all different that everyone should be treated the same as everyone.

It was really fun, we taught them three different jump jams the names of the jump jams were Kotahitanga, Kung Fu Fighting & Chori Chori. I loved seeing all the smiles on their little faces! It was so cute and we loved it as well!!!

Fathers Day !

! Just Dad and i !

My dad is funny, loving, kind and tells good dad jokes. He loves taking me to the races with him, and once when i was little I was really cold and put my legs through the arms of my jacket which made him cracked up laughing! He is really good at making curried sausages which is really yummy and it’s my favourite.

He was very strong when my Poppa passed away and he was glad that he took us that day before he had past. He had a very wonderful speech it made me cry, I think my speech made him cry too. My dad was also funny because he brought a bottle of red wine and it said on the front of it “I Earned This” it was funny but sad at the same time so I didn’t know what to feel at that moment in time.

He always gets on Mum’s bad side like leaving the oven on unattended, putting a dent in Mum’s car. Once he was backing out of the garage and he wasn’t paying attention to the left side mirror and it broke and it hurt my ears but it was funny, she got quite mad at that as well.

Now let’s get onto the stuff that he is good at. He is good at cooking dinner and really good at doing his job at goodman fielder and sometimes brings me home a  chocolate milk. He always does the dishes for Mum and I nearly every night, so we have clean plates and utensils for the morning.

We bond over rugby league because I do his picks for him and he knows I hate the Eels so he will pick them for me. We also bond over picking the race horses, I only pick the horses with names that I like, once I picked three horses and they all came 1st 2nd and 3rd it was really funny!

Up the Prices of Sugary Drinks

Sugary Drinks are to Cheap!

In the UK they have upped the prices of  sugary drinks like most fizzy drinks, energy drinks and some juices. I think New Zealand should up the price of fizzy drinks too, so kids don’t have drinks like coke for breakfast instead of milk. People buy fizzy drinks because it’s cheaper than water and that should change sugary drinks should be more expensive than water, because people have to drink at least one litre of water a day. New Zealand is already known as one of the most unhealthy countries in the World and New Zealand has over taken America in Obesity and we’re a tiny country compared to America.

Once again I will ask you please up the price of sugary drinks,

Kids don’t need them every single day of their lives,

Because kids need to live a happy and healthy life.

Back to the good old days !

Traditional Teaching Style

I had goosebumps on my arms as I entered the classroom. The tables were lined row after row after row, there were names on desks with books next to them. I got a sticker for no reason in my head i was like what the!? My hands were shaking every time the teachers yelled at someone.

1.Roll/Notices 2.National Anthem 3.Maths 4.Dictation 5.Adjectives 6.Dictionary Skills 7.Chanting  8.Handwriting 9.Eating 10.Marching 11.Organised Play.

We got one thing from our lunchbox then went and sat back down. “BITE, CHEW” Mr R said. One bite at a time I was like OMG what is this madness?! The class lined up and went outside for morning tea play I guess? There was a girls line and a boys line on the quad facing opposite directions,we were doing marching all of a sudden, “STOP LAUGHING BIEL” yelled Miss G.

After all that madness the class went inside, Mr R & Miss G started to smile, so we knew something was up… Mr R was like “do you know how hard that was for us”. All kids are very lucky they don’t learn like that anymore, Miss G told us that they never said the word learn they only said the word WORK!

Zuba Circus

It was William’s Birthday but it was also the day of the opening day of The amazing Zuba Circus . His parents decided for a birthday treat. It was a surprise for William, his parents said “it’s time to go”

“Go where?’ said William confused.

So they got in the car, and started to drive to this mysterious circus for William’s birthday. They arrived at the circus William’s parents said “close your eyes please”

they walked him into the circus. His parents said“open your eyes”. William said ‘WOW!” Tears started to come down his face, he turned to his parents and gave them an enormous hug, they brought a picnic basket with bananas, chocolate, sandwiches and more. Williams parents went and got the tickets for the show, he came across a 16 year old acrobat, “what’s your name” said William politely, “my name is Jill, i’m performing tonight” can’t wait to see you tonight!” said William excitedly.

He was going to see where his parents were until he heard the words, banana?? William saw a herd of minions come towards him!! William ran as fast as his heart could take, he opened a door went inside, the minions locked the door behind. William turned around he was scared for his life, he was in…

The Alligators Cage!!! He started to panic and walk round in circles and bite his nails until he trips over the alligator’s tail, the alligator twitch's his head, William starts to freak out even MORE!

The minions are still outside the cage they started to yell and scream, the alligator started to wake up he backed up to the door and fell back,he realised that the owners daughter had opened the door. “Thanks” said William smiling with joy, “no problemo” said the girl, “what your name” said William “my name is Jessie, what’s yours”

“William” said William. “Do you wanna watch the circus with me” uttered William, “sure” said Jessie excitedly. William went to meet up with his parents outside the circus tent with Jessie by his side. “Mum Dad this is Jessie the owner’s daughter she’s going to watch the circus with us,”

“Nice to meet you Jessie”

“You too.”

They walked into the circus tent, they had gotten front row seats, there was a bear riding a unicycle with a bow in its fur and a pink tutu round the bears waist. Everyone cracked up laughing, then an acrobat started swinging from the ceiling, she jumped onto the bear’s back and did jazz handz.

After the show had finished they walked out of the circus holding hands together. They kept in touch and they ended up being best friends.

Once Upon A Time ...

Once upon a time there was a little girl called Emma she was the daughter of the most fierce leaders in the enchanted forest their names were Snow White and Prince Charming. Emma grew up in the normal world without her parents, because her parents were saving her from the Evil Queen that wanted to ruin Snow Whites happiness because Snow White ruined hers.  

When Emma had turned 20 she got a letter in the mail box saying "go just outside of town." Emma was really confused of why someone would want her to do that, the next morning she got in her yellow bubble car and drove outside of town. It took her to this little town called StoryBrooke. 

Emma was greeted by the mayor and she said "Welcome to StoryBrooke" said the mayor aka the Evil Queen. Nobody knew that they were fairytale characters, they had been brain washed by a curse and sent them to this world and lost all their memories. "So who are you exactly" said Emma, "I'm the Mayor of this beautiful town but you can call me Regina" said the Mayor. I'll show you around a little, Regina didn't know that Emma was the mother of Henry which Regina adopted some time ago. Henry knew exactly who she was and every one else in this town, so did Regina she banished everyone here because she wanted her happy ending which hasn't happened just yet. Mr Gold knew everyone as well the curse didn't work on him because he is ... "THE DARK ONE!" He hold all the dark magic  that every evil person could ever live for!!! 

The curse happened some time ago their were a lot of princes and princess still their like Aurora and Phillip, Ariel and Eric, and many more. Emma had gone there to save the town but she doesn't know that will she do it .....

✈️   The Plane Crash ✈️

Emma was filled with indulgence after her parents had just told her they were going on a holiday to Australia. Emma and her family packed their bags and hopped in the car to Auckland airport. “Are you excited?” said Emma’s dad, “duh this is the best day of my life” said Emma! But that was all about to change.

7 hours later…

Emma and her family finally arrived at the airport with their bags, and put them on the plane. Emma and her family looked around for a little bit then finally “flight to Perth taking off in 15 minutes” said the speaker. Emma and her family skittered onto the plane and started flying high in the sky. The flight attendants were really nice they gave Emma lollies and a can of soda. Emma’s favourite movie to watch in “Into the Woods” it's a bunch of fairy tales in one movie, suddenly there was a big thump, “sit tight we are going to crash land - warning we are going to crash land!” “Oh no daddy are we gonna die?” “I can’t answer that sweetie” said Emma's dad. A red light started flashing, everyone started to panic, the plane was going down and in a very fast motion.

The Plane went up in flames Emma was the only survivor. Emma started running through the gushing sea water to a island in the middle of nowhere. Emma sat down on the sand and started to cry, “this is the worst holiday ever!” said Emma in tears. Emma started to get really thirsty so she ran into the forest there was a little water stream so Emma kneels down and cups some water in her hands. She hops across the water, until suddenly she slips on a rock and fell on her arm! Emma starts to cry “why did this have to happen to me” said Emma gouging her eyes out. She finally got the courage to stand up and do something about her fractured arm. She goes to a bush and picks some leaves off to make a bandage.

She ran back to the beach and picked up a broken stick and started to write SOS in the sand. Emma sets up camp on the beach, the tent was made out of sticks and leaves, she made a fire with some sticks and rocks or she would’ve frozen to death. Emma started to get really hungry she felt like she was going to perish, Emma had some food in her bag that was on the plane, she runs to the plane to see if her bag survived the crash. The plane isn’t on fire anymore but it doesn’t make it any easier for her. Her bag was right where she left it, she takes her bag and heads back to her little campsite. The view from the beach was beautiful, the sunset was all kinds of different colours, pink, red, yellow and orange it was real ravishing.

The Next Day...

Emma wakes up and goes to the stream again, suddenly Emma hears a rustling noise coming from the bush. She fills her drink bottle that she found in her backpack, she walks back to the camp and then abruptly Emma feels like she's being followed “who's there” yelled Emma, a boy jumps out of the bush Emma’s jaw dropped with shock, “where did you come from?!?!” said Emma. “I came the same way you did accept i didn’t break my arm” said the boy, “what's your name boy” said Emma, “Aiden what's yours” said the boy, “Emma do you want to come back to my camp?” said Emma, “sure” said Aiden. They walked back to the camp together, they played hide ‘n’ seek together all over the island so it was nearly impossible to find each other. Emma was seeking and Aiden was hiding, unexpectedly Emma saw a big shadow billowing over her head. Emma looked up to see a hot air balloon, “Aiden there's a hot air balloon at the camp!” shouted Emma. Aiden started to run back to the camp as fast as a cheetah. The hot air balloon started to land, “are you guys okay?” said the driver, “our plane crash landed on this island” said Aiden. “Why don’t you come with us back to Palmy?” said the driver, “sure!” said Emma and Aiden. Emma and Aiden hopped in the hot air balloon and enojoyed the ride home.
