What is F.A.I.L???

What does F.A.I.L mean well it means First Attempt In Learning. If you fail don't give up get up and keep trying, it doesn't matter if you fail because you learn from your mistakes. Here is a quote that I found "If you've never failed you've never tried anything new." The learning pit is part of Fail because you fall in the learning pit and you fail and then you get back up and get out of the learning pit.

GRi11 2.0 watched a video of some people getting stuck on the escalator, they should have used there brains to just walk up the escalator, But there is a point to the video, in class people finish their work and don't know what to do, thats when their "stuck on the escalator." That's the point of the video.
This the "Stuck on the Escalator" video. ENJOY!

South Island Time!!!

Looking out the window all I saw was glassy water. Just walking around on the ferry made me feel sick! I LOVED looking out the windows and looking down and seeing bubbling water. (Three hours later) finally we made it, it felt like the longest journey EVER! I was starving after that three hour trip here so mum,dad and I went and had lunch together. After lunch we went to the motel we were staying at, there were lots of twisty turny roads to get there. When we got there we checked in and the receptionist took us to our room, I was stunned the room was gorgeous the art work was so pretty and that's mostly because it was a flamingo. We got settled in and watched a movie on TV, I was hungry so we went out to this restaurant called Captains Daughter. My favourite part of the meal was the dessert it was the best! The next day we started travelling to Nelson on the way we stopped to go to a look out it was AMAZING!!! We got back in the car and carried on our journey to Nelson. The next day we went on a trip to go shopping, because it was our last day, mum, dad and I were walking around the market then we found this guy playing the piano, he found the piano in a dumpster he repaired the piano and played it at the market. After the market we went back to Picton and got on the ferry and went back to Wellington.

THE HUB

This Term GRi11 2.0 is learning about Hauora (our well being). We have named our learning spaces using the four hauora elements. The colours are red which is physical, blue which is spiritual, yellow which is mental & emotional and last but not least is green which is social wellbeing.

There are four spaces in GRi11 2.0;  The Hub, The Hangout, The Hall of Fame and The Hideout. The Hideout is a silent space (to target the blue part of hauora), the Hangout is a social space for Green and the Hall of Fame and Hub are all of the colours of Hauora.

My favourite space to learn in is in The Hub. The place of the Hub I like to work the most, is behind the girls' tote trays. My friends and I named it 'The Sub Hub' because my friend Ivy was hungry and she was thinking of Subway. I like working behind the girls' tote trays because it's where I can work with my friends and they can help me if I'm stuck on something.

Working behind the girls' tote trays is cool. There is a desk up against the tote trays, a foosball table and a bean bag. The foosball is annoying sometimes because we always bang our head underneath it. Also I like it because I can access my tote tray really easily.

Did you notice all the names of the spaces start with H?

GRi11 2.0 Camp at Sixtus Lodge

This week GRi11 2.0 went on camp to Sixtus Lodge in Apiti.

My favourite part of camp was the  River Walk. I was excited and nervous. This time I wore the right pair of shoes. The caves were awesome. It felt like we were explorers in a cave like jungle. There were lots of obstacles in the cave that we had to climb up. Terado hid behind a  big log and then he jumped out and scared Ivy, it was quite funny but I felt bad for her. At the end there was a gap it had massive cockroaches and spiders in it,  Ivy and Milla said there was a spider above my head so I screamed.
